The Versatile Blog Award

I've bene nominated for this award along with many other fantastic bloggers:

Rules:
1) I must pass on the Versatile Blogger award to five other very deserving versatile bloggers.
2) You must tell 7 random things about yourself that your readers don't know about you.

I'd like to thank Auntie Eboo at My Life Journey for this!

7 Random Facts:

1)  I was a member of a skipping team during Primary School that had us touring other schools in Southern Ontario and attending competitions and demonstrations throughout North America.  I have a Provincial Title from back then as well.

2)  I was a member of a Girls Softball team, for nearly 15 years, that found similar successes.  After which I went on to coach a Softball team that received very similar accolades and played in tournaments in Ontario and the US.  I grew up on the baseball diamond, and played until I was 25.

3)  I was a kid that rebelled by putting myself into everything I could so I didn't have to be at home.  I was a member - at the same time - of senior band, vocal jazz group, one-act-plays drama troupe, Peers Associates Lending Support, The Spirit Club, a tutor, as well as a member of the basketball team, softball team and curling teams for my school.  I am the only person that graduated in my year to receive the Academic Award, Citizenship Award and Sports Letters.  The only award I didn't win was the Leadership Award because I didn't take the Leadership Gym Class.  I have 3 MVP awards from high school as well.  As well as doing all of these things in school, I coached that team in Number 2, played on my own team, and worked two jobs outside of school.

4)  I didn't start eating tomatoes until I was 28 - I didn't like the taste or the texture of a ripe tomato.  Now I only eat them before they ripen (the pink one you see in the grocery store or the ones I eat), because they are more watery and less acidic.   I've always had spaghetti sauce, chili and ketchup though.

5)  I can't sleep with people touching me, or with any light in the room.  I'm working on the light portion of this, but I still can't sleep at all with someone else touching me.  I will only sleep for an hour in the arms of my beau, then, inevitably, I wake up, and move away so I can get back to sleep for hte night.

6)  I do not drink coffee, or eat/drink anything that tastes like coffee.  I also do not drink pop (soda for you American folk).  I barely drink juice.  I drink water.  Water.  More Water.  And no I don't need a coffee to jump start me, keep me going or to make the day go better.  Water does all of those things for me!

7)  I got my first cavity at 31.  A small thing, filled without painkillers or any pain medication at all.  I have to get a crown this year, as I've found out I have what is called cracked-tooth syndrome.  I have a molar that is cracked right through (still no cavity in it!), and so I will be getting a crown in May of this year.  They say I'm too young to have the tooth pulled, and if I do this it should protect me from a root canal down the round.  Guess it's the bonus of drinking all that water!!

And now I have to nominate a few wonderful bloggers...

Tanner over at Working for a Goal
Kim over at Out My Window
Amy at On My Way
Michelle at Making Sense of Cents
Bryallen at The Frugal Graduate

Ladies and Gentlemen that have be nominated for the award, and those still to come - you are each providing value to someone's day, whether you know them or now.

Thank you Eboo for the honour!

If you had your first cavity at thirty one then it means that you really have an awesome dental hygiene.
